Terms of Service

Last updated July 14, 2026

Using the site

Cards with Friends is a free, browser-based card game platform. By using it, you agree to these terms. There's no account to create, so using the site — creating or joining a room, playing a game — is your acceptance of them.

What you can expect

The service is provided free, "as is," with no guarantee of uptime, availability, or that it will be free of bugs. Rooms are temporary by design — game state expires automatically after 24 hours, and a room's live connection is discarded once everyone leaves. Don't rely on this site as permanent storage for anything.

Your conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for anything illegal, or to harass, threaten, or abuse other players
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other players' sessions
  • Use the video/audio chat to share or transmit unlawful content
  • Use the site to facilitate real-money gambling — this is a social game platform, not a wagering service

We may remove or shut down a room at our discretion if it's being used to violate these terms.

Video, audio, and other players

Video and audio chat connects you directly, peer-to-peer, with the other people in your room — we don't moderate, record, or review that content. You're responsible for who you share a room link with, and for what you say or show on your own camera and microphone. Treat a room link the way you'd treat an invite to a table in your living room: only share it with people you actually want there.

Intellectual property

The card games offered here (Crazy Eights, War, Durak, Cribbage, Rummy, Tong-its, Spite & Malice, Garbage, Solitaire, and others as they're added) are traditional games in the public domain. The site's code, design, and specific implementation of those games belong to their creator. Don't copy, scrape, or resell the platform itself.

Advertising

Some pages on this site display ads served through Google AdSense to help keep the platform free. Ads are never shown inside an active game room. See our Privacy Policy for details on how that works.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including anything that happens over a peer-to-peer video connection between you and another player.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
